Our Story
A Legacy of God's Faithfulness
What began as a God-given vision twenty-five years ago has become a vibrant testimony of His faithfulness and grace. Founded by Pastor Joseph Naveen, together with his wife Pastor Leno, The Altar Church was established with a singular passion — to proclaim the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and lead people into a deeper relationship with Him.
From its humble beginnings, The Altar Church has remained committed to creating an atmosphere where people can encounter God's presence, experience His love, and discover His purpose for their lives. Through the faithful preaching of God's Word, passionate worship, fervent prayer, and compassionate outreach, countless lives have been transformed and strengthened in their walk with Christ.

Pastor Joseph Naveen
Senior Pastor & Founder
Pastor Joseph Naveen has been graciously used by God to advance the message of the Gospel across India and beyond. Through his unwavering commitment to ministry, many have come to know Jesus Christ, found hope in difficult seasons, and experienced the transforming power of God's love.
Pastor Leno
Co-Pastor & Founder
Together with her husband Pastor Joseph, Pastor Leno leads the congregation with vision and passion for God's Kingdom. United in purpose, they oversee a ministry centred on worship, discipleship, evangelism, prayer, and community transformation — serving Kolathur, Chennai and beyond.

We strive to be a Christ-centred church that glorifies God by raising disciples, transforming lives through the power of the Gospel, and serving our communities with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
